How to publish, unpublish, or delete reviews

Use review moderation actions to control which reviews appear on your storefront.

Publish a review​

Published reviews can appear on the matching product page.

To publish a review:

  1. Open MP Product Reviews.
  2. Go to Manage reviews.
  3. Find the review you want to publish.
  4. Click Publish, or open the review and choose Publish.

After publishing, the app syncs review data to Shopify product metafields so storefront widgets can display the updated rating and review content.

Unpublish a review​

Unpublished reviews are hidden from the storefront but remain available in the app.

To unpublish a review:

  1. Open Manage reviews.
  2. Find a published review.
  3. Click Unpublish, or open the review and choose Unpublish.

Move a review back to pending​

Use Pending when a review needs another moderation pass.

Pending reviews do not appear on the storefront.

Delete a review​

Deleting a review removes it from active review lists in the app and storefront.

To delete a review:

  1. Open Manage reviews.
  2. Select one or more reviews.
  3. Choose Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Restore a deleted review​

If a deleted review is available in the app, open the review details page and choose Restore.

After restoring, review the status before expecting it to appear on the storefront. A restored review still needs to be Published to display publicly.

Important notes​

  • Only published reviews are included in storefront rating summaries.
  • Updating review status may take a short time to appear on the storefront.
  • If storefront review data does not update, use the sync option in Manage reviews or contact support.
