How to enable SEO rich snippets

SEO rich snippets can help eligible product pages provide review structured data to search engines.

MP Product Reviews outputs product review JSON-LD only when SEO rich snippets are enabled, the SEO app embed is enabled, and the product has published reviews.

Step 1: Turn on SEO rich snippets in the app​

  1. From your Shopify admin, open MP Product Reviews.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Open SEO rich snippets.
  4. Enable SEO rich snippets.
  5. Click Save.

Step 2: Enable the SEO app embed​

  1. In the SEO rich snippets section, click Open theme editor.
  2. In Shopify theme editor, open App embeds.
  3. Enable SEO rich snippets.
  4. Click Save.

Step 3: Re-check setup​

Return to MP Product Reviews and click Re-check.

The app shows a success message when the SEO app embed is enabled.

When JSON-LD is rendered​

The SEO app embed renders product review JSON-LD when:

  • The page is a product page
  • SEO rich snippets are enabled in MP Product Reviews
  • The SEO app embed is enabled in the current theme
  • The product has at least one published review

Important note​

Search engines decide whether rich results appear. Enabling structured data does not guarantee rich result display in search results.
