How to customize and enable the floating review tab
The Floating review tab shows a compact review summary on the side of product pages.
It is an App Embed, so it must be enabled in your Shopify theme before shoppers can see it.
Customize the floating review tab
- From your Shopify admin, open MP Product Reviews.
- Go to Display reviews or Storefront widgets.
- Click Customize on Floating review tab.
Display settings
You can choose:
- Tab position: left or right
- Whether to show the rating icon
- Single icon or five-icon display
- Whether to show the rating average
- Whether to show the rating count
Appearance settings
You can customize:
- Rating icon
- Rating icon size
- Icon color
- Empty icon color
- Text color
- Background color
- Border color
- Border radius
- Font family
No reviews state
When a product has no published reviews, you can:
- Hide the tab when empty
- Show custom no reviews text
Enable the app embed
- Open the Floating review tab settings in MP Product Reviews.
- Click Open app embeds, or open Shopify theme editor manually.
- Go to App embeds.
- Enable Floating review tab.
- Click Save.
- Return to the app and click Re-check.
If the tab does not appear
Check that:
- The app embed is enabled on the current live theme.
- You clicked Save in the theme editor.
- You are viewing a product page.
- The widget is not hidden when the product has no published reviews.
