How to customize the star rating widget

The Star rating widget shows a compact rating summary for a product.

Open Star rating settings​

  1. Open MP Product Reviews from Shopify admin.
  2. Go to Display reviews or Storefront widgets.
  3. Click Customize on Star rating.

Customize display​

You can choose whether to show:

  • Rating icon
  • Rating average
  • Rating count

You can also set:

  • Alignment
  • One-row or two-row layout

Customize appearance​

You can adjust:

  • Rating icon style
  • Rating icon size
  • Icon color
  • Empty icon color
  • Text color
  • Background color
  • Border color
  • Border radius
  • Font family
  • Padding

Customize the no reviews state​

When a product has no published reviews, you can:

  • Hide the widget when empty
  • Show custom no reviews text

Place the Star rating block near the product title, price, or Add to cart area.

This helps shoppers see social proof before they make a buying decision.
