How to enable the Tracking snippet app embed

The Tracking snippet app embed loads Google tag code on your storefront when gtag.js is enabled for your Tracking ID.

Enable the app embed​

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store.
  2. Click Themes.
  3. Find your current theme and click Customize.
  4. Open App embeds.
  5. Enable Tracking snippet.
  6. Click Save.

Check the embed in MP Tracking Pixel​

  1. Open MP Tracking Pixel.
  2. Go to Tracking IDs.
  3. Click Re-check in the app embed banner.

The banner will show whether the app embed is enabled in your current theme.

After publishing a new theme​

If you publish a new Shopify theme, check the Tracking snippet app embed again. App embed settings are theme-specific and may need to be enabled on the new live theme.
