Why storefront sync may take 2-5 minutes

MP Tracking Pixel syncs tracking settings to Shopify storefront systems after Tracking ID changes.

Changes that can require sync​

Storefront sync can happen when you:

  • Create a Tracking ID
  • Edit the Measurement ID
  • Update the API secret
  • Change selected ecommerce events
  • Turn DebugView mode on or off
  • Turn gtag.js on or off
  • Change item_id mapping
  • Activate or deactivate a Tracking ID
  • Delete a Tracking ID

What to do​

After saving changes, wait 2-5 minutes before testing again.

Then open the storefront and trigger the event you want to verify.

If events still do not appear​

Check that:

  • The Tracking ID is active
  • The event is enabled
  • The Measurement ID and API secret are correct
  • The Tracking snippet app embed is enabled if you use storefront gtag.js
  • You are checking the correct GA4 property
