How monthly event usage works

The dashboard shows usage for the current month in UTC.

Events processed​

Events processed is the number of Shopify customer events MP Tracking Pixel has received for the month.

This can include events that were:

  • Sent to GA4
  • Failed during delivery
  • Blocked by quota mode

Tracked purchases​

Tracked purchases counts unique checkout completed events for the month.

MP Tracking Pixel deduplicates purchases using order, checkout, or event identifiers where available.

Why sent and processed counts can differ​

An event can be processed but not sent if:

  • The event is disabled in your Tracking ID settings
  • GA4 credentials are missing or invalid
  • GA4 returns an error
  • Monthly usage limits move delivery into a restricted mode
  • The store has no active Tracking ID

Month timing​

Usage is calculated by UTC month, so the reset time may not match your local timezone.
