How to customize product label position, colors, and size

You can customize each product label so it fits your product image, theme layout, and store branding.

Open a product label​

  1. From your Shopify admin, open MP Trust Badges & Labels.
  2. Go to Product labels.
  3. Create a new label or open an existing label.
  4. In the editor, go to the Label section.

Customize the label position​

Choose where the label should appear on the product image.

Available positions include:

  • Top left
  • Top center
  • Top right
  • Middle left
  • Middle center
  • Middle right
  • Bottom left
  • Bottom center
  • Bottom right

Choose a position that keeps the label visible without covering important product details.

Fine-tune the position with margins​

You can use margin settings to adjust the label placement more precisely.

Margins are useful when:

  • The label is too close to the edge
  • The label covers an important part of the image
  • Your theme has unusual product image spacing
  • You want different visual balance for your product page

After changing margins, check the preview and storefront to confirm the result.

Customize colors​

For text labels, you can customize:

  • Text color
  • Background color

Choose colors that match your brand while keeping the label easy to read.

For best readability, use strong contrast between the text color and background color.

Examples:

  • White text on a red background
  • Black text on a yellow background
  • White text on a dark green background

Customize size​

You can set different sizes for desktop and mobile.

Depending on the label type, you can adjust:

  • Text label size
  • Text font size
  • Image label size

Use the desktop and mobile preview to make sure the label looks balanced on both screen sizes.

Customize text label style​

For text labels, you can also adjust:

  • Label text
  • Shape
  • Font family
  • Font size
  • Text color
  • Background color

Available shapes include options such as rectangle, square, circle, starburst, tag, triangle, chevron, and parallelogram.

Customize image label size​

For image labels, you can select a ready-made label design and adjust its size for desktop and mobile.

Image labels keep their original design, so color and text are not edited separately.

Preview before saving​

Before saving, check:

  • The label does not cover important product details
  • The label is readable on desktop
  • The label is readable on mobile
  • The colors match your store design
  • The size feels balanced on the product image

Save your changes​

Click Save when finished.

If the label is active and matches the product conditions, the updated label will appear on your storefront after the changes are saved.
