How to show labels by product, tag, or date

You can control where and when each product label appears on your storefront.

Product labels can be shown on all products, selected products, products with specific tags, or during a selected date range.

Open label conditions​

  1. From your Shopify admin, open MP Trust Badges & Labels.
  2. Go to Product labels.
  3. Create a new label or open an existing label.
  4. Open the Conditions section.

Show a label on all products​

To display a label on every product page:

  1. Turn on Show on all products.
  2. Save the label.

This is useful for store-wide messages such as:

  • Free shipping
  • Best price
  • Limited stock
  • Secure checkout

Show a label on specific products​

To display a label only on selected products:

  1. Turn off Show on all products.
  2. Under Filter products by, choose Specific products.
  3. Click Select products.
  4. Choose the products you want.
  5. Save the label.

The label will only appear on the selected products.

Show a label by product tag​

To display a label on products with specific tags:

  1. Turn off Show on all products.
  2. Under Filter products by, choose Specific tags.
  3. Click Select tags.
  4. Choose one or more product tags.
  5. Save the label.

The label will appear on products that have at least one matching tag.

Set display timing​

You can also control when a label is shown.

Open the Timing section.

To show the label every day:

  1. Turn on Show everyday.
  2. Save the label.

To show the label only during a date range:

  1. Turn off Show everyday.
  2. Click the date range picker.
  3. Select a start date and end date.
  4. Save the label.

Date ranges use your Shopify store timezone.

Example use cases​

Use product conditions and timing for campaigns such as:

  • Showing a Sale label on selected discounted products
  • Showing a New arrival label on products with a new tag
  • Showing a Best seller label on hand-picked products
  • Showing a holiday label only during a seasonal campaign
  • Showing a limited-time offer label during a promotion period

Important notes​

A label will appear only when all of these are true:

  • The product label is Active
  • The Product labels app embed is enabled
  • The product matches the selected conditions
  • The current date is within the selected date range
  • You are viewing a product page

After saving changes, your storefront may take a few minutes to update.
